#Mainstage midi monitor pro
My computer hardware is also more than adequate (an early 2009 Mac Pro tower, quad core Xeon with 32GB of ram).Ĭlick to expand.I use Nektar Panorama P6 with Logic mainly but it also has Mainstage custom integration as well. I'm reluctant to just get a different midi interface because people have reported this with all kinds of different ones, and aside from this particular issue I've not had problems with my interface (MOTU micro lite that I've used for literally 10+ years). It's like there's constantly a half-damper on things or something.Īre there any other Mainstage users here? Has anyone run into these sorts of issues with it? I know there's at least one other and it works for him (I helped answer a pre purchase question for him), but I'm interested to see how wide spread this is or if anyone else has a better suggestion for a work around. I found some workarounds for capturing and not passing message 123 which helped the notes cutting off and allowed the pedal to work, but it still has issues that are messing with the actual notes sounding like they are partially bumped up an octave and things also just don't feel right when you're playing them. Lastly it renders the sustain pedal unusable. It also ends up forcing some sounds to kind of flicker between octaves (especially on multitimbral piano sounds). It makes sounds abruptly cut off as soon as you lift you finger off a key (even on sounds that should not). After some googling it appears I'm not alone, and I've had a couple of other buddies that were trying to use it live and gave up on it for various reasons (one of them being midi).ĭoes anyone else here use it? The specific issue I seem to be having is that there is a constant midi message 123 being sent (some people blame the midi controllers, but since it doesn't happen in any other apps I dunno). I have been having no end of trouble with midi, troubles that only seem to happen with Mainstage.
#Mainstage midi monitor Patch
And seamless Patch switching lets you hold a chord in one sound while moving to a new Patch.I've been trying to use Mainstage as my main keyboard rig solution here in the studio, I really like the interface and it's a decent enough platform for running most VIs but. With Multimapping, you can map multiple parameters to a single control, so you can smoothly manipulate your sound without trying to turn several knobs at once. Start walking a bassline up the keyboard, and the split point moves up so the bass doesn’t suddenly become some other sound when you get into the higher notes. It intelligently moves the split point on a split keyboard Patch to respond to what you’re playing. For starters, there’s the Floating Split Point.
#Mainstage midi monitor software
MainStage is not only an amazing host for software instruments and effects, it’s also packed with innovations that let you shine on stage. Or bring the authentic sounds of a Hammond B3 organ, Hohner Clavinet D6, or Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer electric pianos on stage. Use Retro Synth to recreate your favourite electronic sounds from the ’70s and ’80s with an intuitive set of controls.
And Chord Trigger allows you to press a single note and have it trigger an entire complex chord. The Arpeggiator features note-based remote controls and flexible latch modes. Take your performance beyond what you can actually perform.
